Solomon Islands invites travellers to discover Guadalcanal's wartime legacy

The new itineraries include the flagship Return to Guadalcanal tour, the Operation Watchtower anniversary experience and the Cruise Up The Slot expedition, each tailored to different interests while showcasing the country's rich military history alongside its natural beauty.
Visitors will explore historic sites including Henderson Field, Bloody Ridge, Alligator Creek and Mount Austen, where some of the fiercest fighting of the Guadalcanal campaign took place between Allied and Japanese forces in 1942 and 1943.
