Global alternative lender Bizcap has launched operations in the United States, expanding its footprint into one of the world's largest small business financing markets as competition intensifies among non-bank lenders seeking to fill funding gaps left by traditional financial institutions.

The US expansion marks another milestone in the company's international growth strategy. Founded in Australia, Bizcap now operates across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and the United States, having facilitated more than US$5 billion in funding to over 100,000 businesses worldwide.

The company is targeting America's vast small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector with a technology-driven lending model that promises faster approvals and greater flexibility than conventional bank financing.

As part of the launch, Bizcap introduced its Line of Capital product, a revolving credit facility that allows eligible businesses to access funding of up to US$2 million without having to reapply each time capital is required. The company said funding decisions can be made in as little as three hours, with same-day funding available for qualifying applicants.

Bizcap Global Co-Chief Executive Officer Albert Gahfi said small businesses remain the backbone of every economy but often face unnecessary barriers when seeking finance.

"Bizcap has built a proven funding model that has helped more than 100,000 businesses across multiple international markets access capital quickly and with greater flexibility," he said. "We've seen that model deliver real results around the world, and we're confident it will have the same impact for American small businesses."

The launch comes as SMEs worldwide continue to contend with higher borrowing costs, inflationary pressures and tighter credit conditions, prompting many businesses to seek alternative funding providers that can offer quicker access to working capital.

Unlike traditional lenders, alternative finance companies typically rely on technology-enabled credit assessments that consider broader business performance rather than focusing solely on conventional credit scores. This approach has gained traction among SMEs requiring rapid funding to manage cash flow, invest in expansion or respond to market opportunities.

Bizcap said its US offering includes a new financing structure designed to reward businesses that repay funds quickly, reflecting a growing trend among fintech lenders to tailor products around customer behaviour and business performance.

Global Co-Chief Executive Officer Zalman Blachman said many small businesses continued to struggle to secure funding despite having strong growth prospects.

"We believe business owners deserve a faster, more flexible alternative that looks beyond a single credit score and helps them access capital when it can make the biggest difference," he said.

The expansion also reinforces the company's broader international ambitions. Earlier this year, Bizcap introduced new lending products in Europe while continuing to expand its presence across Asia, including Singapore, where it increased its lending capacity in response to growing demand from local SMEs.

Industry analysts say alternative lenders are expected to play an increasingly important role in supporting SMEs as digital lending platforms continue to reshape business finance by delivering faster approvals, streamlined applications and more flexible funding structures.

For Bizcap, the US launch represents not only entry into a highly competitive market but also an opportunity to strengthen its position as a global provider of technology-enabled business finance for entrepreneurs seeking faster access to capital.
