President Prabowo bestows the Mahaputera Star Medal of Honor on Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Figures
This Order of Honor is awarded in recognition of outstanding service in supporting the advancement, development, and construction of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), as well as its widespread recognition at the national and international levels. Furthermore, the awarding of this Order of Honor is a form of state appreciation for the recipients' dedication, contribution, and devotion to the nation.
President Prabowo Subianto conferred the Bintang Mahaputera Medal of Honor on seven Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) figures. The awards were presented at the 81st TNI Anniversary Commemoration Ceremony in Cilangkap, Jakarta, on Monday, October 5, 2026.
The awarding of this Order of Honor is based on Presidential Decree No. 87/TK of 2026 concerning the Awarding of Orders of Honor. The decree was read by the President's Military Secretary, Major General Wahyu Yudhayana.
The seven figures who were awarded the Mahaputera Star Medal of Honor were:
- General TNI (Ret.) Djamari Chaniago, Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs for the 2025-2026 period, was awarded the Bintang Mahaputera Adipurna Medal of Honor;
- General TNI (Ret.) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Minister of Defense was awarded the Star of Honor Mahaputera Adipurna;
- General TNI Agus Subiyanto, Commander of the TNI was awarded the Mahaputera Adipurna Star of Honor;
- TNI General Tandyo Budi Revita, Deputy Commander of the TNI was awarded the Mahaputera Adipradana Star Honor Medal;
- General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army was awarded the Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana Medal of Honor;
- Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy, was awarded the Mahaputera Adipradana Star of Honor; and
- Air Marshal TNI M. Tonny Harjono, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Air Force, was awarded the Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana Medal of Honor.
Following the reading of the decree, President Prabowo personally awarded the recipients with honorary medals. The award ceremony took place solemnly and with great respect.
