ATC strengthens push for Singapore businesses to expand globally
The Association of Trade and Commerce (ATC) has reaffirmed its commitment to helping Singapore enterprises expand internationally, placing global market access, strategic partnerships and business capability development at the heart of its agenda during The Entrepreneur Singapore 2026.
SINGAPORE – The Association of Trade and Commerce (ATC) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Singapore enterprises as they pursue international growth, with global expansion taking centre stage at The Entrepreneur Singapore 2026.
More than 200 entrepreneurs, founders, business leaders and ecosystem partners gathered at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre for the event, which was held under the theme "Enterprises Going Global". The programme focused on strengthening Singapore's long term economic resilience through internationalisation, innovation and enterprise transformation.
Guest of honour Shawn Huang, Singapore's Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministries of Finance and Manpower, highlighted the Government's continued support for workforce transformation, skills development and enterprise growth. He encouraged businesses to embrace new technologies, improve productivity and leverage government programmes to compete more effectively in the global economy.
In his welcome address, ATC Council Member Dato Seri Ashraf Bakar said Singapore businesses require more than ambition to succeed internationally, stressing the importance of trusted business networks, strategic partnerships and capability development.
He said the association was founded on the belief that entrepreneurs should not have to navigate business growth alone, describing ATC as a community that helps members open doors to new opportunities and overseas markets.
ATC said it will continue supporting enterprises through business networks, international market opportunities and capability development programmes designed to help companies build resilience and expand beyond Singapore. The organisation also noted that its flagship business awards provide valuable benchmarks for excellence while helping shape future enterprise development initiatives.
The event also recognised outstanding business leaders through the presentation of the Entrepreneur 100 Award and the Singapore 40 Under 40 Business Leaders 2026 honours, celebrating individuals who have demonstrated leadership, innovation and meaningful contributions to Singapore's business landscape.
Looking ahead, ATC said it will continue advancing international business missions and enterprise capability programmes as part of its broader strategy to help Singapore companies compete successfully across regional and global markets.
