Zoomlion is expanding its international manufacturing, sales and service footprint as overseas revenue becomes an increasingly important driver of growth.

CHANGSHA – Chinese construction equipment manufacturer Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. reported a 9.17% year-on-year increase in revenue for the first half of 2026, as its international operations continued to outpace overall growth. Revenue reached RMB27.14 billion (US$4.04 billion) for the six months ended June 30, with international revenue rising 12.45% to RMB15.54 billion (US$2.31 billion).

International operations accounted for 57.25% of total revenue, up 1.67 percentage points from the same period last year, highlighting the growing importance of overseas markets to the company's business. Zoomlion said growth across South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa and East Asia exceeded its overall international growth rate, as it continued to deepen its local sales, service and supply capabilities.

The company had more than 30 primary business hubs, over 530 secondary and tertiary outlets, more than 300 spare parts warehouses and nearly 7,000 local employees worldwide as of June 30.

Its international manufacturing footprint also expanded during the period. Zoomlion's aerial work platform factory in Hungary began production, while its facility in Germany was expanded and upgraded into a multipurpose hub.

The company said it is using an end-to-end, digitalised and localised operating model to strengthen its overseas business, including improvements to international management, digital systems and risk monitoring.

Beyond its traditional construction machinery operations, Zoomlion's diversified businesses continued to contribute to growth.

Its earthmoving, mining, aerial work platform and agricultural machinery businesses generated combined revenue of approximately RMB12.5 billion (US$1.86 billion), an increase of about 10% and representing more than 46% of total revenue.

Earthmoving machinery accounted for approximately 20% of group revenue and became the company's largest contributor to international revenue among its business segments.

Zoomlion also continued to expand its portfolio of electric and intelligent equipment, including electric construction machinery, new energy and autonomous mining equipment and hybrid agricultural machinery. Several of its new energy mining products received EU CE certification, supporting their entry into international markets.

The company is also developing embodied artificial intelligence through its subsidiary, ZValley Technology Co., Ltd., which has developed a range of embodied AI robot products and capabilities spanning algorithms, software, hardware and industrial applications.

Meanwhile, net cash generated from operating activities increased 38.12% to RMB2.42 billion (US$360.1 million) during the first half.

Zoomlion said infrastructure investment, equipment replacement and continued global capital spending on infrastructure and mining are expected to support demand. The company said it will continue to strengthen localisation, diversify its product portfolio and invest in technology as it seeks to sustain growth across domestic and international markets.
